Koen Boone, coordinator of Sustainable Value Chains at Wageningen University & Research and Managing Director for Europe of The Sustainability Consortium has agreed to join Foundation Earth’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
Koen has 20+ years of experience in developing sustainability assessment systems on all kinds of levels (product, company, farm, sector) and in strong interaction with all relevant stakeholders. He is a member of several advisory committees on sustainability including a global producer organization, initiatives to make sustainability impact of all food available for consumers, and an impact investment fund. Koen chairs the Dutch climate covenant group that will make the environmental impact transparent of all individual food items sold in the Netherlands.

The purpose of the Foundation Earth Scientific Committee is to ensure the scientific rigour of the systems used within Foundation Earth; to provide advice, to provide recommendations to the main Foundation Earth Board, and to assist with the development of an optimum environmental labelling system.
